It is natural for grief, trauma and pain to show up in our lives. This can leave us without words to express our anguish, feelings of isolation and floundering without skills to cope. We will accompany you on your journey to regain balance, assist you in accessing and understanding of your inner and outer resources/strengths and to clear the path for more peace, understanding and comfort within your life.
We are located in Whitby, Ontario (in Brooklin Village). We offer Counselling, Teen Counselling, PTSD and Victim Trauma Counselling and Hypnotherapy. We specialize in providing resources for individuals, families and companies.
Helping people learn the art of maximizing inner and outer resources is what we do best. We provide a wide variety of tools and methods to do just that!
Meet Yvonne Phillips, RPC. TIRP. CCTP. MPCc, CFTP
The care of others is in my DNA…
On my life path I have experienced personal loss of family, friends and clients. Like you, I have stood in grief and trauma and wondered If I would make it to the next moment. Through my quest for life’s meaning and natural curiosity about healing arts, I became aware of many different paths to acceptance and understanding.
As a Counsellor I have worked with many individuals and families while a loved one passed on and after a death/trauma has occurred. Through volunteering in hospice and victim services, I know there is life, that there is hope after grief, loss, pain and trauma: one step, one moment, one breath at a time.
At some point you will reach out as I did and I will be there for you. Together we can formulate a plan that fits your healing needs, one that taps into your inner resources and gives you community (outer) resources, helps you to realize your untapped possibilities and potential and sets you on a path to a new normal and a renewed relationship with yourself and life.
Acquiring My Own Resources – Inner and Outer
Counselling and body energy work are, and have been, my passion for as long as I can remember. I have been in service in the healing arts for over five decades, first as a candy striper. I practiced as a nurse working in general medicine, palliative and rehabilitation and in the community care.
I studied at the Vancouver College of Counsellor Training then at the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA) to became a Registered Professional Counsellor. I am currently working toward a Master Registered Professional Counsellor designation. I recently studied with Dr. Eric Gentry at the International Association of Trauma Specialists(IAPT) to become a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). I am also a Trauma Incident Reduction Practitioner (TIRP) trained by Applied Metapsychology International, as well I am a Certified Family Trauma Professional (CFTP).
Your life and well-being are precious things, if you are struggling with any form of Pain, Grief, Loss or Trauma, please contact us and learn how a variety of inner and outer resources can restore happiness and balance to your life.
Meet Ron Phillips, Master Hypnotist
I am a Certified Master Hypnotist. My background is in computer programming, a tow truck driver and 9 year military career.
In time, unsatisfied with these professions, I realized I was wanting to be of service to people. Having been involved in accidents myself, I know the trauma and stress that can occur. It was then I decided to learn more about hypnosis to help people overcome their issues. My work in hypnotherapy complements my wife Yvonne’s practice of Counselling.
As life progresses many challenges need to be overcome, not everyone consciously knows the way. The subconscious however does, and it is here that hypnotism comes into play.
As well as assisting you in reducing stress and the effects of trauma. I can also assist you in areas where life has thrown you a “curve ball” and in dodging it, your life path has been lost.
Since I become a hypnotist, there is no better feeling then that of watching someone realize their goals or ridding themselves of negative behaviours, belief and issues.
Is it possible to use the powers of the mind to heal the body? A resounding YES!
If you would like to take the next step I invite you to view our services.
“Watch your way then, as a cautious traveler; and don’t be gazing at the mountain or river in the distance, and saying ‘how shall I ever get over them?’ but keep to the present little inch that is before you, and accomplish that in the little moment that belongs to it. The mountain and the river can only be passed in the same way’ and, when you come to them, you will come to the light and strength that belong to them.”
