THE CARE OF OTHERS IN MY DNA
On my life path I have experienced personal loss of family, friends and clients. Like you, I have stood in grief and trauma and wondered If I would make it to the next moment. Through my quest for life’s meaning and natural curiosity about healing arts, I became aware of many different paths to acceptance and understanding.
HELPING PEOPLE LIKE YOU THROUGH GRIEF, PAIN, LOSS & TRAUMA:
As a Psychotherapist/Counsellor I have worked with many individuals and families while a loved one passed on and after a death/trauma has occurred. Through volunteering in hospice and victim services, I know there is life, that there is hope after grief, loss, pain and trauma: one step, one moment, one breath at a time.
At some point you will reach out as I did and I will be there for you. Together we can formulate a plan that fits your healing needs, one that taps into your inner resources and gives you community (outer) resources, helps you to realize your untapped possibilities and potential and sets you on a path to a new normal and a renewed relationship with yourself and life.
ACQUIRING MY OWN RESOURCES (INNER AND OUTER)
Psychotherapy/Counselling and body energy work are, and have been, my passion for as long as I can remember. I have been in service in the healing arts for over five decades, first as a candy striper. I practiced as a nurse working in general medicine, palliative and rehabilitation and in the community care.
I studied at the Vancouver College of Counsellor Training then at the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA) to became a Registered Professional Counsellor. I recently studied with Dr. Eric Gentry at the International Association of Trauma Specialists(IAPT) to become a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). I am also a Trauma Incident Reduction Practitioner (TIRP) trained by Applied Metapsychology International, as well I am a Certified Family Trauma Professional (CFTP).
Your life and wellbeing are precious things, if you are struggling with any form of Pain, Grief, Loss or Trauma, please contact us and learn how a variety of inner and outer resources can restore happiness and balance to your life.

“Watch your way then, as a cautious traveler; and don’t be gazing at the mountain or river in the distance, and saying ‘how shall I ever get over them?’ but keep to the present little inch that is before you, and accomplish that in the little moment that belongs to it. The mountain and the river can only be passed in the same way’ and, when you come to them, you will come to the light and strength that belong to them.”
